Delete your Qura account

You can delete your Qura account at any time, without giving a reason. There are two ways to do it, and both remove the same information.

In the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

1. Open the Qura app and sign in.
2. Go to the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
4. Confirm when asked. Your account and the data listed below are deleted straight away.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@qurahealth.org from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We action requests promptly and confirm by reply when it is done.

Deleting some of your data, without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove information. Inside the app you can, at any time and without asking us:

• Remove any document from your vault. Account tab, then Document vault, then Remove on the document you want gone. It is deleted from storage immediately.
• Replace or remove your CV from your profile.
• Clear your availability and expected day rate so suppliers no longer see them.
• Delete a saved alert or saved role, which also stops the weekly digest email.
• Turn off notifications and remove your device from our push register.

For anything else, email privacy@qurahealth.org telling us what you want removed. We action partial deletion requests promptly and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• Your profile: name, profession, professional registration details, country, experience, availability and expected rate
• Your CV and every document in your compliance vault, including right to work evidence, DBS certificates, professional registration, training records and revalidation
• Your saved searches, saved roles and alerts
• Your notification settings and the push token for your device
• Your organisation page, if you are a supplier

What is kept, and why

Two things do not disappear, and we would rather be plain about it than surprise you later.

Messages in a thread you shared with someone else. A conversation belongs to both parties. Your messages remain visible to the person you were speaking with, in the same way an email you sent stays in their inbox. Your name is retained on those messages so the thread still makes sense to them.

Records we are required to keep. Where an introduction was completed or a payment was taken, we retain the minimum record needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. This is kept for as long as the law requires and is not used for anything else.

If you are in our decision-maker directory

The directory is separate from app accounts. If you are a healthcare professional listed there and want to be removed, email privacy@qurahealth.org. We action removals promptly, and a removal is permanent: we keep a note of the request so the record is not reinstated by a future update.
